Czech Championship in modern magic attracted hundreds of magic lovers to Uherské Hradiště
Zlín Region - The International Magic Festival MAGIC FESTIVAL in Uherské Hradiště became the organizer of the Czech Republic Championship in modern magic for the first time in history. Thirty magicians and magicians competed for the title of the National Champion in the categories Junior I up to 12 years, Junior II from 12 to 18 years, Micromagic, General Magic, Mental Magic, Illusion, Comic Magic and Manipulation. The youngest participant was only 9 years old and the oldest was almost 70.
"During the five years of organizing the Magic Festival we have managed to build excellent technical conditions for the competitors. The premises of the Culture Club as well as the nice and affordable accommodation in the centre of Uherské Hradiště met all the prerequisites for hosting the championship in Moravia," informed the main organiser of the competition, professional magician Jiří Hadaš.
The traditional rich accompanying programme was prepared for the visitors of the festival. Magic performances for kindergartens and primary schools, the Magic Square and an autograph session of Princess Arabella performed by actress Jana Nagyová - all of this is already one of the main attractions of the festival.
MAGIC FESTIVAL has built up its excellent reputation and prestige not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad during its five years of existence. The proof of this was the participation of stars of European calibre shining in the current field of magic, who prepared their original performances and interesting seminars for the visitors. The Italian professional magician Vittorio Marino and the Austrian magician Bill Cheung accepted the invitation this year. The most prominent star of the festival was the biggest star of today, one of the world's most popular magicians and also the holder of the title of German Master 2011, magician Alana Moehlmann. "We always try to invite magicians from abroad to Uherské Hradiště who help us to raise the level of the festival and magical art in our country with their performances and professional seminars," added Jiří Hadaš.
The culmination of the magic days in Uherské Hradiště was the gala evening connected with the announcement of the Czech Republic's Master of Modern Magic - Stage Magic, who became Aleš Hrdlička. The evening was hosted by the magician and Vice President of the Czech Magic Association Jiří Hadaš together with the actress Jana Nagyová. The accompanying programme was provided by the young and talented singer Dianka Kalašová, Italian magician Vittorio Marino, the duo Aratron Aspis from Slovakia, Petr Kravčík, Stanislav Saldak, Jaroslav Hadaš, Jiří Marek, Circus Dance and German champion Alana Moehlman.
During the Czech Championship in Modern Magic there was also a charity sale of a Magician doll designed by Jiří Hadash himself. During the two days, 15,000 crowns were raised, which Jiří Hadaš personally handed over to five-year-old Jožinek from Uherské Ostroh. Together with the contribution of Korunka Luhačovice, his parents can buy a special pram for little Jožink.

Magical observations of Jiří Hadash
From my point of view I evaluate the Championship very positively. Everything went well with an asterisk. Of course, there are always small worries and organizational problems, but during the time of organizing the festival, we have been able to solve everything quickly and make magic. Because I moderate the competition blocks myself, I have the opportunity to see the competition performances. Speaking for myself, I must say that I fully agree with the jury's assessment and I hope that our magicians will be motivated by this experience and the new competition rules to start working harder on their acts. I personally liked the performance of Ales Hrdlicka and his Pierot. He has been working on this number for more than 3 years. Ales should be a role model for everyone, because with his diligence and hard work he made it to the absolute winner and rightfully deserved the title of Czech Champion in modern magic - stage magic category.
I would like to thank once again my dream team, without whom I would not have been able to conjure up the championship. They did everything with an asterisk, without the help of magic and spells. Věruško, Kamilko, Rádo, Pepa, Andrejko, Pavel and mommy Tonička THANK YOU!!!
